ColegauCymru is delighted to congratulate Mike James, Chief Executive of Cardiff and Vale College Group, on being awarded an MBE in the King’s 2026 New Year Honours List for his contribution to education and future skills across Wales and the UK.
Mike James has led Cardiff and Vale College with vision and commitment since its formation in 2011, playing a pivotal role in transforming further education and skills training in Wales. Under his leadership, the college has become one of the largest and most influential FE institutions in the UK, supporting thousands of learners and working closely with employers and partners to deliver high-quality education and training that meets regional and national skills needs.
