ColegauCymru noted the support that the FE sector has received to navigate the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. We also added that continued support and flexibility of funding is essential as the sector faces huge increases to energy prices and pressures of cost-of-living to both staff and learners. We also emphasised the need for the budget to recognise the importance of FE to Welsh Government ambitions around Net Zero, as well as to reflect issues around Apprenticeship targets and staff retainment in the FE and WBL sector.
