With funding from the Welsh Government, ColegauCymru is about to undertake a new project that will support colleges to evaluate the delivery of masterclasses and research projects to accelerate and build staff expertise and increase learners' knowledge and learning experience.

The Knowledge Transfer Scheme is a new concept with the aim of bringing together industry expertise to deliver new content and concepts in subjects such as digital, green skills, retro fit construction and engineering. This in turn may then lead to the development of new programmes of learning and an improved learner experience.

ColegauCymru Strategic Adviser for Work-based Learning and Employability, Jeff Protheroe said,

“A pan-Wales initiative, the Scheme will see expertise shared amongst the college network with ColegauCymru taking the lead on evaluating its impact whilst sharing valuable learnings with key stakeholders.”

It is anticipated that any masterclass, research project or any other format of learning undertaken will lead to the development of new pathways and programmes at a higher level.

ColegauCymru will lead the co-ordination of the individual projects ensuring alignment between national, regional and local needs.
